The Turkmen-Afghan security commission's meeting was held in the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul on May 4.
Delegation of Turkmenistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov took part in the meeting, the press service of the MFA said.
The agenda of the meeting included issues of securing the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline and other infrastructure projects with the participation of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan (construction of power lines and railways), as well as methods of bilateral cooperation in security matters, security and stability at the joint border, as well as in the border areas of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
Meredov met with President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Gani, Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah, and other high ranking officials during his trip. Issues of bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, as well as issues of expanding trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation were discussed.
