AKIPRESS.COM - President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon at the invitation of the Chinese leader Xi Jinping will visit China to participate in the annual BRICS Summit, which is scheduled for September 3-5.
During the tour, Rahmon plans to agree with the Chinese side the issue of allocation of grant for construction of the Parliamentary and the Governmental buildings of Tajikistan.
On August 23, the lower chamber of the Tajik Parliament ratified the memorandum on understanding and cooperation between the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Commerce of China on feasibility study of the project on construction of new buildings of the Parliament and the Government of Tajikistan, which was signed on May 1.
The memorandum proposes allocation of the Chinese side about 1.5 billion yuans (about $230 billion), according to Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Nematullo Hikmatullozoda.
