Two criminal cases launched after mass brawl involving Indian construction workers occurs in Astana

AKIPRESS.COM - Two criminal cases were launched after a mass brawl involving Indian construction workers occurred in Astana on Saturday, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Jakip Asanov told reporters Monday.

The fight between a group of citizens of Indian and locals occurred at the Abu Dhabi Plaza construction site.

"Now two criminal cases were launched. Pre-trial investigations are looking into "a household conflict" and "false information," he said.

As for the deportation of those Indian citizens involved in the fight, Asanov  said it will be decided by the court.

A conflict between the security and foreign workers of the Abu Dhabi Plaza occurred in the evening of September 2. The conflict rose to a mass fight with several people being injured and taken to hospital. 

More than 40 people were arrested for violation of public order.
