AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan is now ranked #8 in the medal standing of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games under way in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

On September 26, the team won 11 medals (5 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze) and rose from 11th to 8th spot in the medal standing. The day 11 of the competitions saw the athletes contesting for 38 sets of medals in chess, billiard sports, dance sports, futsal, tennis, kickboxing, sambo and wrestling events.

Kyrgyzstanis contested in chess, billiard sports, dance sports, sambo and wrestling.

In total, Kyrgyzstan earned 70 medals of various color since the day 1 of the Games.
