AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev extended condolences to U.S. President Donald Trump over a Las Vegas concert shooting that left 59 dead and over 500 injured.

The telegram said that the Kazakh president learned the shocking news with deep sorrow and expressed sincere condolences to the people of the United States.

59 people were killed and over 500 were injured in a mass shooting at a Las Vegas country concert. The Sunday night incident became the deadliest mass shooting in the modern history of the United States.

A gunman, named as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel toward an open-air music festival. Police believe that Paddock took his own life.

Las Vegas Police Department Assistant Sheriff Todd R. Fasulo said that 23 guns were found in the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino room where suspected shooter Paddock fired into a crowd, and 19 were discovered out of his Mesquite, Nevada home. Multiple loaded high-capacity magazines were found in the hotel room, law enforcement sources said earlier on Monday.
