AKIPRESS.COM - Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Russian State Secretary and Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin in Ashgabat on October 17, the Turkmen foreign ministry said.

The parties stressed the role of high-level visits, which serve as a solid foundation for the comprehensive and consistent development of bilateral relations.

During the talks, directions that represented mutual interest in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres were discussed. Noting the high level of political and diplomatic cooperation, the sides expressed their commitment to further expanding relations within the framework of international organizations.

They also reviewed implementation of previously reached agreements.
