Life in rural Kyrgyzstan: Amateur landscape designer from Batken grows banana and sakura trees in his garden

AKIPRESS.COM - Ibragim Muktaidinov lives in Batken. He is 46 and he likes growing unusual for the region ornamental plants, banana and sakura trees in his garden.

Turmush correspondent went to Ibragim's house to take a look at his garden.

"I like gardening a lot, I like to plant unusual trees. I wanted to try to grow banana tree, I went to Uzbekistan to take a sucker. Of course, we don't get banana harvest every year, but this tree definitely pleases your eyes,"  Muktaidinov said.

The man also grows Japanese cherry in his garden. "The tree perfectly protects from sunlight. I planted that type of sakura tree which can withstand winter colds," he said.

The man also likes landscape designing. He's married, has two sons. Ibragim works as operator, he shoots wedding parties.
