AKIPRESS.COM - President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on October 26 received the Asian Development Bank President Takehiko Nakao in Dushanbe, the President's press service reported.
The head of state during the talks said the ADB is one of the trusted and strategic partners for Tajikistan. The volume of ADB investments in various areas of the Tajik economy amounted to about $1.6 billion.
Rahmon thanked the leadership of the bank for financial support in implementation of the projects in the spheres of education, energy, transport, customs, natural disasters.
The two vowed to continue bilateral fruitful cooperation between the Government of Tajikistan and the ADB in implementation of the partnership strategy for 2016-2020, the CAREC Program and the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan until 2030.
