AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, who arrived in Dushanbe on official visit, held talks with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the Turkmen President's press service said on November 2.
At the airport of Dushanbe, Berdymuhamedov was greeted by Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda and other officials.
The tete-a-tete talks were then held in the Palace of Nations Kasri Millat.
Rahmon welcomed the Turkmen leader and underlined that his visit is an important event in the history of the friedly relations between the countries.
Berdymuhamedov, in turn, noted a dynamic and constructive cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan and expressed confidence that the agreements that will be reached as part of his visit will give a new impetus to the Turkmen-Tajik partnership.
The two vowed to deepen cooperation in humanitarian, scientific and cultural spheres and discussed regional and international issues.
