UN working group to arrive in Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - Head of Cabinet Secretariat G. Zandanshatar on November 16 met with United Nations Resident Coordinator Beate Trankmann, Montsame reports.

Beginning the meeting, G. Zandanshatar appreciated the UN for sending its working group to support Mongolia to resolve its some challenges in implementing ‘Sustainable Development Goals of Mongolia’.

He also gave a briefing on Government’s action to present economic and social situation, outcomes and pressing issues.

Beate Trankman emphasized, “Mongolia shows certain achievements as it pays a special attention on the Sustainable Development Goals that have three basic dimensions: economy, society and environment. In a scope of the goals that cover many sectors, it needs to satisfy interrelation of sectors and tie up with a policy.”

The UN Working Group will discuss with the government on implementation of the goals reflected on ‘Sustainable Development Vision-2030’ and recommend a certain suggestion.
