Life in rural Kyrgyzstan: 1-meter snow falls in syrt zone of Issyk-Kul region

AKIPRESS.COM - The syrt zone of Jeti-Oguz district of Issyk-Kul region is covered with snow of 50 cm — 1 meter thick, Turmush reports.

According to chief of the road operator #3 Mukhamedkalyi uulu Kubanychbek, the length of the road from the district center to Ak-Shyirak valley is 295 km.

“Winter in the valley is long. The height of the snow cover is more than 1 meter. In order to clear the road after the fallen snow, the special machinery of our road operator is involved. There are two bulldozers, a grader, a forklift on the balance sheet of the enterprise. We try to conduct the timely work to prevent the traffic jams,” he said.
