Blast in police station in Tajikistan killed investigator

AKIPRESS.COM - An investigator died, another police officer received injuries after a blast in a police station in Kurgan-Tuybe town in Tajikistan on December 1, a source in police station of Khatlon region reported.

According to a source, a strong explosion damaged the roof of the building.

The spokesman of the Interior Ministry of Tajikistan Umardjon Emomali confirmed the information. “One person died. Investigation is being carried out by an urgently created commission and we should wait for the results,” he said.

The police officer, who was critically injured, was hospitalized.

According to another source, the blast allegedly occurred when the investigator was registering the explosive devices that were collected by law enforcement officers.
