Ice town to open in Ulaanbaator soon

AKIPRESS.COM - The Governor’s Office of Ulaanbaatar city launched the project on building ice sculptures along the Selbe River on December 08, Montsame reports.

The Governor’s Office of Ulaanbaatar city and other relevant organizations are working cooperatively to open the ice town on December 15.

Dedicated to children and youth, the project aims to spend their time effectively, show famous ice sculptors’ works and provide them possibility to ice skate.

This year, the organizers plan to build two ice slides sized 70x24 for adults and 30x19 for children. Top 20 ice sculptures, which won prizes at International Ice Sculpture Competitions with theme of Winter Olympic Games will be also built in the ice town. Moreover other works such as establishing service facility for customers, illuminating and decorating the area and providing electricity will be done within the project.
