Uzbekistan abolishes export customs duties for all types of goods

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law on additional measures to stimulate exports and ensure competitiveness of the domestic goods on foreign markets.

He signed a decree on cancellation of the export customs duties for all types of goods and licensing of exports, except for specific goods provided by the law. The companies exporting their own products are allowed to open trading houses and representative offices abroad for marketing research of foreign markets and advertising with the supply of goods on consignment terms.

In addition, the document proposes a list of items and products exported by the decisions of the President or Government. The list includes livestock, poultry, meat, grain, vegetable oil, sugar, rawhide, silk cocoons, scrap and waste ferrous metals and others.

The document also bans a list of items for import in Uzbekistan. It includes printing works, film, video and audio materials aimed at undermining of the state and social system, violation of the territorial integrity, political independence and state sovereignty, promotion of war, terrorism, violence, national exclusiveness and religious hatred, racism, as well as pornographic materials.
