Fuel imports increase by 32 percent in Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia's gasoline imports totaled $227.1 million as of November, a 32 percent increase over November 2016, the National Statistics Office of Mongolia said.

Diesel fuel imports grew by 75.8 percent and reached $385.5 million. Coal export advances, transport cycles, and the overall economy saw growth in 2017, Gogo.mn reported.

Officials say that excise tax on fuel is expected to gradually increase under terms set for the IMF's extended fund facility program, which could result in increasing fuel demands.
