AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia exported a total of 26,800 tons of meat worth MNT 111 billion in 2017 tripling meat exports since 2016.

Out of the total amount of meat exports, 24,000 tons were horse meat. 18,000 tons of horse meat were reported to China.

560 tons of frozen beef was exported to Russia and 2,400 tons of mutton and goat meat -- to Iran and Qatar.

Monstame state news agency reported that 12 companies will get their special licenses to export meat to China in 2018.
