AKIPRESS.COM - Wages, pensions, state allowances and scholarships have been increased by 10% in Turkmenistan from January 1, according to the order signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Wages of employees of enterprises of self-financing institutions and organizations financed from the budget, as well as pensioners, recipients of state benefits will receive higher wages and allowances.
The document sets the minimum wage in the country at a rate of $204.5, Azernews reported.
The decree sets the basic value for determining the minimum pension in the amount of $79.8, as well as the basic value for the calculation of state benefits in the amount of $76.1.
Since January 1, the minimum pension for participants of the Great Patriotic War will amount to $334.4.
The presidential decree prescribes to raise the amount of wages through the improvement of the structure of institutions, enterprises and organizations, increasing the efficiency of using productive capacities and labor productivity of workers and attracting unused internal reserves.
The Turkmen authorities planned to spend on financing the social sphere at least 75-80 percent of the total budget expenditures in 2018. The revenues part of the state budget for 2018 will be formed mainly due to the oil and gas, chemical, electric power industries, construction sphere and others.
