Bodies of 52 citizens of Uzbekistan delivered from Aktobe to Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - The plane of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan with the bodies of 52 citizens of Uzbekistan flew from Aktobe region of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan on January 19 at 8:00 Astana time, Consul of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan Shukhrat Teshaboyev told CA-News.

According to him, the governmental delegation under the leadership of Minister of Emergency Situations Rustam Jurayev with the assistance of the Kazakh side resolved the issue of transportation of the bodies of bus fire victims.

"A DNA testing for unidentified citizens will be carried out on the territory of Uzbekistan in purpose of creating appropriate conditions for their families," the Consul said.

Teshaboyev earlier said that the identities of 30 victims were established.

52 people were killed in a bus fire in Aktobe on January 18 morning in the Irgiz district of Aktobe region on the 1 068km of the Samara-Shymkent road.
Ikarus passenger bus carried 55 passengers and 2 drivers. Only 5 people managed to flee the fire. According to the Aktobe region's department for emergencies, all the dead are citizens of Uzbekistan.
