AKIPRESS.COM - Due to air temperature increase, the melting waters flooded 6 districts in Almaty region, the Almaty emergency situations department said. 

The biggest number of flooded households was observed in Talgar, Ili, Enbekshikazakh, Karasai and Zhambyl districts and in Taldykorgan town of the Almaty region, the statement said.

17 flooding cases were reported on February 24, where 66 households were flooded.

About 150 people from local administration and about 60 people from emergency situations department cleaned up the irrigation systems with 60 special machinery and 20 motor pumps. As a result over 407.5 cubic meters of water were pumped out.
