Former Russian spy critically ill in UK 'after exposure to substance'

AKIPRESS.COM - The woman suspected to have been poisoned alongside former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal has been named as his daughter.

Yulia Skripal, 33, was discovered slumped on a bench near a shopping centre alongside her dad on Sunday afternoon, according to the BBC.

She is understood to have been visiting Britain from her Russian home.

Today, she and Skripal, 66, both remain critically ill in hospital after being exposed to what police described as "an unknown substance".

It follows reports that ex-spy Skripal had been in fear of his life after both his wife and son were killed in car crashes in recent years.
