AKIPRESS.COM - At least 35 militants affiliated with ISIS terrorist group were killed in northern Jawzjan province of Afghanistan in airstrike on Saturday, Afghan media report.
7 of them were reportedly Uzbek citizens, Afghan media report citing the 209th 'Shaheen' Corps of the Afghan National Army.
13 others were injured.
Another military operation was conducted by the US Special Forces along with the Afghan Special Forces in the same district, resulting in the capture of a key ISIS leader.
The airstrikes were carried out at around 4:45 am local time the in the vicinity of Qosh Tapa district, according to the 209th Corps.
Anti-government armed militant groups including Taliban and ISIS are dominating most of Jawzjan districts, which is the scene of some of their activities.
