Life in rural Kyrgyzstan: Man found skeleton of animal that he thinks resembles small dinosaur

AKIPRESS.COM - A Kara-Balta man found a skeleton of unknown animal and he thinks it resembles small dinosaur.

Emilbek Karatayev, a 38-year-old local businessman, handed over the discovery to the local woman, Kaliycha Elikbayeva, who is engaged in regional studies and plans to open a historical museum in the future.

Karatayev said he found the skeleton in the garden of his house during the construction of a shed.

"First we thought it was a dog or cat. It is a small animal of about 50 cm height. It did not have front paws, but there are mall holes on the bones where there could be front small paws," he said. "There could also be wings, if it were a dinosaur," he said.

Elikbayeva wrapped the finding in black fabric, put in a box and hid it in a dark place.

Elikbayeva said she wants to exhibit the skeleton in the museum she plans to open. But first, she wants to give it to the scientists for finding out what animal it belonged to.
