AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov received North Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs Ri Yong-ho, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit on April 8, the Turkmen foreign ministry said.

The parties expressed the need for further development of Turkmenistan-North Korea ties. In this context, the parties discussed proposals on the development of various spheres of cooperation of mutual interest, the statement said.

Noting the mutual interest in expanding political and diplomatic cooperation, the sides underlined the role of interaction between the foreign ministries of the two countries.

The parties also discussed issues of international agenda.
