U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) delivers FBI Post-Blast Investigations training at Uzbek General Prosecutor’s Office Training Academy

AKIPRESS.COM - Four Special Agents and Explosives Experts from the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation delivered a one-week training course on Post-Blast Investigations at the General Prosecutor’s Office Training Academy in Tashkent, the U.S. Embassy said.

A portion of the training involved a hands-on investigation with a practical exercise at the Ministry of Internal Affairs range. The course focuses on developing the specific knowledge and skills needed to locate and collect evidence, reconstruct a device, and leverage international cooperation.

“Through international training, the FBI provides international law enforcement partners with skills in both basic and advanced investigative techniques and principles that promote cooperation and aid in the collection of evidence. This post-blast training serves to strengthen cooperation among law enforcement personnel worldwide.” said a representative of the FBI.

This project was also supported by the Diplomatic Security Regional Security Office at the U.S. Embassy. “International law enforcement training and cooperation helps unify our investigations techniques, evidence collection, and prosecutions. Through sharing their expertise on real life investigations they conducted, and through these practical exercises, these FBI experts are helping to strengthen U.S. – Uzbek security and law enforcement cooperation so that together we can thwart transnational criminals and terrorists,” said a representative of the Regional Security Office.
