AKIPRESS.COM - The Embassy Turkmenistan in Kyrgyzstan organized a mini-football tournament "Turkmenistan -- the heart of the Great Silk Road" cup devoted to the announcement of the month of social and cultural events "Health and Happiness" in Turkmenistan, the Turkmen foreign ministry said.

The tournament was attended by the football teams of the Embassies of Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.

The Ambassadors of Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan and President of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University participated in the opening ceremony of this event and delivered the welcoming speeches.

Tajikistan team clinched a victory with Kazakhstan taking the second place. The winners were awarded the cup, medals and souvenirs.

At the end of the event, the participants of the event were served Turkmen national dishes.
