AKIPRESS.COM - The Embassy of India in Bishkek in collaboration with JIA Business Association and National Institute of Strategic Studies organized a round table discussion on the topic “India-Kyrgyzstan Economic Relations: Current Realities and the Way Ahead” on May 15, the Embassy said.
The event was attended by business representatives from India and Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz Government officials and NISI members.
The participants noted that both countries have the mutual interest for expansion of economic relations and are engaged in finding recourses and opportunities.
The participants also discussed challenges encountered including connectivity and discussed ways to overcome them. They also focused on enhancing cooperation in various sectors such as trade, investment, logistics, IT, tourism, healthcare etc. The participants noted with appreciation that e-visa facility now available for the nationals to visit India and Kyrgyzstan.
Ambassador Ms. Lakshmanan Savithri addressed the round table and urged for innovative solutions to increase economic engagement between India and the Kyrgyz Republic who enjoy excellent political and cultural relations.
