AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Affairs Minister Damdin Tsogtbaatar will pay an official visit to the United States of America on May 18-22, his office said.

Minister D.Tsogtbaatar will meet U.S Secretary of State M.Pompeo, Members of the Congress and other officials to discuss relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the United States.

As a part of the visit the Minister will attend the Second Consultative Meeting of Mongolia-U.S Economic Policy, the final stage talks of the Second Compact Agreement to be established between the Government of Mongolia and the Millennium Challenge Corporation and he will meet with American businessmen who are interested in investing in Mongolia.

The Ministerial visit will focus on expanding economic ties between Mongolia and the United States and defining cooperation directions.

Minister D.Tsogtbaatar will also visit American biggest universities and institutes such as Johns Hopkins University, Hudson Institute and Asia Foundation, meeting with scholars and scientists and giving presentations.
