Olympic bronze medalist dies of stab wound in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan's Olympic bronze-winning figure skating Denis Ten has died of knife wound today in Almaty.

He was stabbed in his thigh when he attempted to bar thieves to steal his car mirrors. He has lost 3 liters of blood. Denis was taken to a hospital in a clinical death condition, doctors said.

He died of wounds at the age of 25.

In 2014, Denis Ten won a bronze medal in Sochi. He also won two world championship medals — silver in 2013 and bronze in 2015.
