Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan congratulates on Eid al-Adha

AKIPRESS.COM - Chairman of the Spiritual Board of the Muslims of Kazakhstan (SBMK), Supreme Mufti Serikbay kazhi Oraz congratulated Kazakhstanis on Eid al-Adha, the holy festival of the Muslims, Kazinform reports.

August 21 will be a day off in connection with the celebration of Eid al-Adha in Kazakhstan.

Eid al-Adha, a Festival of Sacrifice, is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year (the other being Eid al-Fitr), and considered the holier of the two. It honors the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God’s command.
