AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian Cabinet banned smartphone use at schools and kindergartens in a decision to come into force from October 1.
Smartphones are only allowed at kindergartens for children with disabilities during training activity, contacting parents, etc.
Other children can use their smartphones after school or kindergarten.
To back its decision, the Cabinet citied results of the research by the London School of Economics, which says that banning mobile phones at schools resulted in better academic performance, prevents cyber-attack and cell phone addictions.
Survey found that Mongolia is 3.6 times more active on social media than other Asian countries according to the number of Facebook users per capita.
