AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian Defense Minister Nyamaa Enkhbold met with German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen in Berlin on Sept 19.
The Ministers expressed mutual satisfaction with current bilateral defense cooperation, which is actively advancing and enriching with new content based on fundamental principles to deepen common interests of both sides and people-to-people friendly relationship, strengthen military trust in the region and the world and secure peace and sustainability, Montsame news agency said.
Troops of the Armed Forces of the two countries have been serving together for peacekeeping mission in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan since 2009.
The same day, Defense Minister N.Enkhbold had a meeting with Mr. Manfred Grund, Member of German Bundestag and Chairman of the German-Central Asian parliamentary group to discuss about bilateral ties and cooperation.
The latter's visit to Germany is continuing.
