AKIPRESS.COM - The Selenga 2018 Russian-Mongolian exercise is underway at the Burduny training ground of the Eastern Military District stationed in the Republic of Buryatia.

At one of the stages servicemen will train at the Tank Biathlon course, Russian defense ministry sai.

It is the first time as the tank crews from the two countries will compete in the contest.

To organise a comprehensive competition, the Command of a combined arms army decided to extend and improve a race track at the Burduny training ground.

The Selenga 2018 Russian-Mongolian exercise is to be held at the Burduny training ground from September 29 to October 12 this year. More than 1,000 troops are planned to be involved in the drills.
