AKIPRESS.COM - November 7-11 will be days off in Kyrgyzstan in connection with celebration of the days of history and memory of ancestors, the Ministry of Labor and Social Development said.
November 7-8, Wednesday and Thursday, are public holidays, and with the aim of rational use of working time, it was decided to make Friday, November 9 the day off, too. But November 3, Saturday, will be a work day instead.
In November 2017, then president Almazbek Atambayev signed into law the amendments to the Labor Code of Kyrgyzstan, which announced November 7 and 8, the Days of History and Memory of Ancestors, as days off for the objective historical assessment of the fateful events that took place in the first half of the 20th century.
