AKIPRESS.COM - PetroChina said it has signed a five-year natural gas contract with Kazakhstan’s KazTransGas, according to a statement published on the Chinese oil major’s website, Reuters reports.
KazTransGas was already supplying natural gas to PetroChina and the previous deal expired on Oct. 14.
The two companies started negotiations on the five-year deal at the end of July.
The new deal will help relieve tight supplies of natural gas in winter and spring time in China, the statement said.
