AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Minister Batjargal Batzorig was sacked by the Parliament's 76% of votes on Nov 6, Mongolia media report.
Batzorig tendered his resignation on Oct 30 following the reports alleging that some high-ranking officials and their relatives obtained loans with low interest rates from the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Fund (SMEDF), which is aimed at developing SMEs.
The SMEDF is an affiliate of the Food Ministry. Batzorig's wife is allegedly among those who obtained loans from the fund.
The resignation was demanded by the ruling Mongolian People's Party Group in the parliament.
