AKIPRESS.COM - Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin on November 9 attended the 15th Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum.
The forum was devoted to new approaches and trends in tourism development and was attended by governors of regions, representatives of government agencies and businesses of two countries.
Russia is a strategic ally and the most important trade and economic partner of Kazakhstan, President Nazarbayev said.
“The bilateral trade exceeded $11 billion in 8 months of this year and may reach $18 billion by the end of the year. Russia is the biggest market for Kazakhstan’s exports of processed products,” President Nazarbayev stated.
President Nazarbayev suggested to improve border crossing points, to boost sport, medical and education tourism, to develop space tourism.
