Mafia enforcer arrested in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - Police detained a mafia enforcer on suspicion of fraud, the Interior Ministry said.

The detainee with birth date 1973 has reportedly taken over a business from a Bishkek resident in fall 2018. The taken-over property was a resort in Issyk-Kul worth about $350,000 with the total area of 6,280 m2.

The detainee is known as an alpha dog in criminal world. He is a close relative of crime boss jailed in Kyrgyzstan for 30 years for extremely serious crime.

At the moment of detention, the suspect was inside Lexus LX 570 of 2018 release worth almost $100,000, police said.  

The detainee's previous criminal record is being checked by police together with the National Security Committee employees.
