Lawmaker criticized for wearing expensive Louis Vuitton shawl to anti-corruption protests in Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian lawmaker M.Oyuunchimeg was criticized for wearing expensive Louis Vuitton shawl to anti-corruption protests against MANAN in Ulaanbaatar on January 10.

Oyuunchimeg was among some members of the parliament who joined the protests along with the people.

The "party monogram shawl triangle" cost is $1,400. Oyuunchimeg was criticized that she wore an expensive shawl as if she mocked the ordinary people, ARD reports.

In her defense, Oyuunchimeg said she took the shawl from her friend. However, one of the social media users noticed that the lawmaker wore the same shawl at the female forum of the Mongolian People's Party.
