Mongolia and Argentina hold joint consultations in Buenos Aires

AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Argentina held joint consultations on January 14 in Buenos Aires and agreed to implement a project on providing livestock with nutrition in winter and monitoring spread of hoof-and-mouth disease.

Highlighting that the importance of expanding and developing friendly ties and cooperation between Mongolia and Argentina, the parties agreed to cooperate in the fields of agriculture, education, culture and sports in priority, Montsame reports.

Argentina is experienced in improving technology for milk production, ensuring livestock hygiene, immunizing, and exporting beef that satisfies international standards and the country succeeded to fully eliminate animal infectious diseases.

Moreover, the Argentina side expressed its readiness to train Spanish language specialists and educate Mongolian students in agriculture. The sides agreed that there is room for collaboration in sports field by exchanging football and judo coaches and decided to establish direct relationships between relevant organizations.

The sides will strive for boosting tourism and increasing cultural exchange. The Mongolian side plans to invite reporters from some countries in Latin America in July, 2019 to acquaint the country and asked to send reporters from Argentina.

The parties also mutually affirmed their intent for broadening and solidifying cooperation in international and regional arena including cooperation in the United Nations and the Forum for East Asia and Latin American Cooperation (FEALAC).

During the meeting, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia D.Davaasuren and Argentina’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Raimondi signed Mongolia-Argentina Intergovernmental Agreement on Technical Cooperation.
