AKIPRESS.COM - The parliament committee for fuel and energy sector will consider activities of state gold mining firm Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC, head of the committee Kojobek Ryspayev said.
According to him, Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC does not report to the committee.
The MP added that for three years, the Accounts Chamber has never considered the activities of the company.
The members of the committee supported the proposal and also proposed to invite the heads of the State Property Management Fund and the State Committee for Industry and Subsoil Use.
Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC provides gold exploration services in Kyrgyzstan. The company was founded in 1992 and is based in Bishkek.
Kyrgyzstan owns more than 26% stake in the Centerra company through Kyrgyzaltyn. Centerra develops the Kumtor gold mine contributing up to 10 percent of Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product.
