AKIPRESS.COM - A 25-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison for sodomy of a 12-year-old boy in Naryn, court ruled.

The incident happened in October 2018. He took the victim to the forest near the village tricking him into thinking that he needed help to drive horses home and raped him. Cries for help were heard by a neighbor, who arrived on the scene to help the boy.

The defendant had a previous criminal record; he was sentenced to 6 years in prison (attempted rape, robbery) and 2 years in jail for prison break.

The accused pleaded not guilty, but asked the judge to sentence him to life in prison. 

Court found him guilty of raping an underage boy and sentenced him to life in prison.
