AKIPRESS.COM - The Senate of Uzbekistan has ratified an earlier signed agreement with Russia on the use of airspace of both countries by their military aircraft in non-stop flights, Xinhua reports.
Under the new agreement, the air route for Uzbek military aircraft will be shortened by 900 km due to the use of an air corridor over Russian airspace, according to the senator.
The agreement was signed by the defense ministers of the two countries on Oct. 12, 2018 in Tashkent. It defines the procedures for the use of the other's airspace in non-stop flights.
