AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin and Secretary General of World Customs Organization Kunio Mikuriya discussed cooperation issues.
The two discussed the WCO Mercator Programme to support implementation of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) and technical capabilities of the new Nur Zholy border checkpoint with China equipped with the latest technological innovations, the primeminister.kz reports.
Kunio Mikuriya expressed interest in transit cooperation. The approaches to the organization of the effective application of transit and the participation of WCO in the forum of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan on special economic zones were considered.
Mamin noted that the Government of Kazakhstan will continue to work on the implementation of successful international experience in the field of customs administration.
