Mongolia's industrial output grows by 17.5%

AKIPRESS.COM - Industrial production of Mongolia reached MNT 3.8 trillion in the first quarter of 2019 growing by 17.5 percent year on year.

This increase was mainly caused by 21.3 percent growth in total production of mining and extractive industry compared to the same period of previous year, Montsame reports. 

Coal and metal ore mining grew by 64.9 percent and 1.4 percent, respectively. Extraction of fluoride, petroleum, molybdenum concentrate and gold are decreased by 4.2-30.1 percent.  

In the processing sector, production of main types of products including beer, vacuum windows, doors,  buuz and dumpling, woolen and textile goods, combed cashmere and wooden doors and windows for building are increased by 2-97.1 percent.
