Mongolia, South Korea discuss immigration and passenger inspection

AKIPRESS.COM - Director General of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs L.Munkhtushig met with chief of the Korean Immigration Service at the Ministry of Justice, and head of the Inspection Department of the Incheon Airport Immigration Office, during his working visit to the Republic of Korea on May 8-9, Montsame reports.

At the meeting, Mr L.Munkhtushig requested the officials to increase the visa issuance for the family members of Mongolians working in Korea and take into consideration the issue of returning our citizens at the border and resolve the matter more positively.

The Korean side noted that the cases of submitting fraudulent document for Korean visa is not decreasing. Thus, they requested to focus on minimizing violations on stay permit and work closely with the law enforcement agencies. It was also emphasized that it’s necessary to accurately state the travel purpose and place of stay.

During his visit, Mr L.Munkhtushig get familiarized with operations of the Incheon Airport Immigration Office and passenger inspection activities in particular.
