AKIPRESS.COM - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev met Head of Keçiören Municipality of Ankara Turgut Altynok on May 24, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said.

The parties found it necessary to further develop cooperation in various areas between Keçiören Municipality and Leninskiy District of Bishkek city and exchange of visits at the leadership level of these local authorities.

Ambassador Omuraliev expressed his gratitude for the names of Ch.Aitmatov and Kyrgyzstan-Manas that were previously assigned for two parks in the territory of Keçiören municipality. Turgut Altynok said that the Chingiz Aitmatov and Kyrgyzstan-Manas parks are in the process of landscaping at the present time.

The agreement was reached that a bust of Kyrgyz novelist Chingiz Aitmatov will be erected in the same park in honor of the birth of Chingiz Aitmatov in December 2019 andt he Manas monument in the square in front of the Municipality of Keçiören, as well as on the participation of a group from Kyrgyzstan in the Culture Festival, held annually by the Keçiören municipality and allocation of space in Keçiören for Kyrgyz national cuisine.
