AKIPRESS.COM - A delegation of Chinese youth is currently visiting Mongolia as part of the efforts by the two governments to enhance exchanges between young people of the two countries and provide opportunities for them to understand each other better, Xinhua reports.

"Youth is the hope of a country and successor of a friendship. Youth exchanges are an important part of China-Mongolia cooperation and hope for the further development of bilateral relations," Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia Xing Haiming told the delegation.

Leaders of the two countries have reached an important consensus on further strengthening youth exchanges, Xing said, expressing hope that exchanges and cooperation between the young people of the two countries will be prosperous and fruitful, giving new impetus to the friendly exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

The 50-member delegation of students, teachers, youth leaders, civil servants, journalists and businessmen on Monday arrived in the Mongolian capital Ulan Bator for a five-day visit.

China and Mongolia have implemented the annual youth exchange program since 2014.

During their stay in Mongolia, the Chinese delegation is expected to participate in several activities providing them with a deeper understanding of Mongolia's socio-economic development, culture and history.
