Parents of boy named Putin complain on online mockery

AKIPRESS.COM - Parents of a 10-month-old boy Putin from Osh complain on mockery and insults on social media because of naming the boy after Russian President Vladimir Putin's surname.

Grandfather of the boy says the family did not want it and can't stand that anymore. "It is hard for us."

"I know that it's a surname. They ask why we did not name him Vladimir. But it's a popular name. Secondly, this person [Vladimir Putin] highly appreciates our nation and his nation, and he is a very good person. I wanted my grandson to be like him. Intentions were good," he said.

He called on to stop online mockery and denied accusations of waiting any gifts from Russian President. "I just wanted him to know that a boy was named after him and that people here support his ideas."
