AKIPRESS.COM - Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid visited Bukhara, Uzbekistan on June 16.
Hamid is on his 7-day official visit to two central Asian states, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. He arrived in Bukhara after attending the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (Cica) in Tajikistan.
The delegation visited the memorial complex of Bakhouddin Naqshbandi, the Ark fortress, the Poyi-Kalon complex and Lyabi-Khauz architectual ensemble.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Bangladesh head of state. They agreed to step up contacts and hold joint inter-governmental events.
