Mongolia, Norway vow to develop cooperation in veterinary sector

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Janimhan Saule received representatives of the Norwegian Veterinary Institute led by Director for Research and Internationalization Carlos Goncalo Das Neves on June 21, Montsame reported.

At the start of the meeting, Deputy Minister Saule expressed commitment to support development of further cooperation with Norway in agricultural sector, particularly the veterinary field, and briefly introduced about Mongolia’s veterinary field.

Informing that they are here to seek cooperation opportunities, the Norwegian delegation shared their views on further cooperation with the deputy minister.

The two sides agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation with a purpose to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries by combining thorough use of potentials in food, agriculture, and light industrial sectors with Norwegian technological achievements, experience, investment and finance. They also came to the decision to further develop partnership in the implementation of veterinary policy, training, research, production as well as private veterinary services.
